about our scholarships
The Artie Fest Scholarship was established in 2010. The need-based scholarship is awarded to an applicant who has demonstrated the ability to overcome personal and/or academic challenges or other obstacles. Whereas there is not a minimum GPA required, an applicant’s transcript is reviewed to ensure a maintained or improved GPA.
Artie Fest's second scholarship opportunity is called the Brummett Starr Scholarship to honor those that engineered the beginning of Artie Fest. The Brummett Starr will be awarded to a graduating senior who has supported the local community through volunteering for various different activities.
New - this year only - the Gene Levell Building Trades Scholarship, in honor of Gene Levell, one of the founding members of the Building Trades program at Martinsville High School. This scholarship is available to those attending a building trades program.
